In 2000, the cinematic masterpiece “The Perfect Storm” was released. This perfect blend of thrill, action, drama, and romance takes us through the true story of the life of a sword-boat crew. Men who come from nothing, risking everything, to provide for their loved ones back home and to restore the pride of their captain.

They come from a small town in Massachusetts, where if you want to make a lot of money, you must risk your life and leave everything behind to do so. Once a year, sword-boats depart on a mission to harvest as many swordfish out of the sea as possible, and can be gone for as long as 6 months. For the crew in this story, that means leaving their family, friends, and wives at home. When they returned after one of their journeys, their boss was displeased by the miniscule amount of fish. They hadn’t caught enough fish to earn a livable wage for the rest of the year. So, the captain decided to take back to the sea and try again, his crew following behind him. Little did they know, three hurricanes were in the brewing, and would collide right at their destination spot.

This gut wrenching story will bring tears to your eyes and pride to your heart. The twists and turns of this emotional plot will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end. It is definitely a must watch.
