Shidae Randolph, a junior, was nominated by Ms. Nickles (English teacher) for student of the week because, “Shidae has approached challenges in her academic life with bravery, determination, and has committed to creating positive changes in her practices.  She is to be commended for knowing her goals and excelling to meet them.” Shidae explained that her success comes from her drive to never give up. She discovered that if she never stops and continues to push herself forward she can be successful.  Shidae’s mom is her role model because she is always fighting and her fight is what inspires Shidae to push herself to work at her very best. Shidae intends to go on to college after high school to study psychology. Currently she is employed at Cakes to Die For.  Her advice to others is to “advocate for yourself and always put forth your best effort.” Shidae manages stress with music and Netflix. She has struggled in the past and is a true example of how to turn things around.
