K-Pop Demon Hunters has been one of the top movies in 2025. Between the music, animation and writing, it’s been a sensation for children and adults alike. As a family friendly movie K-Pop Demon Hunters has been able to capture the hearts of many and teach many great lessons through music and animation.
One of the big parts of K-Pop Demon Hunters is the main character, Rumi, finding herself throughout her journey in the movie. Rumi is the lead member of the K-Pop group; HUNTR/X, a girl group with three members including her. This group, through the power of their songs, expel demons back to the underworld to keep the normal citizens of the world safe. Now while her job is to hunt demons, she herself is half demon. Raised by one of the former demon hunters, and her mother’s best friend, she was taught to hide her demon marks from everyone and not reveal to her best friends that she is half demon and a demon hunter. Because of this she doesn’t feel like her true self, more like she’s faking who she really is. Through the movie, there is this boy K-Pop group that emerges where the members are demons trying to get rid of the members of HUNTR/X. The lead member of that group, Jinu, becomes close with Rumi and teaches her not all demons are evil and they were people once too. Through that she learns to accept the demon side of herself and embrace that to make her music better.
Through this message, it is a great example to all groups of people, young or old. This movie teaches people how to slowly accept who they are no matter how they were born and to embrace themselves and the parts of themselves that they would normally want to keep hidden from the world. The movie puts it in an easy to digest format so anyone, no matter the background can understand the message. Because it has the ability to reach so many different people, it has become one of the most popular movies of 2025 and was nominated to win many awards, such as: the Critics Choice Awards, the Golden Globes USA, the Grammy Awards and many more. With the catchy music, and great message it is a great movie for the family to sit down and enjoy!
