This past Wednesday, May 7 the Key Club organized the traditional Teacher Breakfast in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week in the Media Center during all lunch shifts. Club members set up tables and rolled up their sleeves to cook waffles, slice strawberries, and hand out grab n’ go pastries and breakfast bars for the THS staff.

Despite the unexpected suprises of running out of ingredients and longer wait times for their waffles, staff members overall were very pleased with the event.

“Whoever made my waffle did an amazing job,” raved English teacher Victoria Faron. “No matter what those waffles looked like, they tasted great,” proclaimed Mr. Hogan on the Morning Announcements Thursday.

I can speak from personal experience as both Key Club advisor and a staff member who loves waffles that the students really came together to treat teachers. I think I speak for most when I say I hope Key Club brings this event back year after year.
Thank you to the THS Key Club, and most importantly, to the THS teachers and staff who are well-deserving of all the praise and recognition this week has to offer, working day-in and day-out for their students.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
