Although, after a crash occurs landing them on an alien world, they become stranded in space and escaping will come at a cost. The Robinson family’s journey through the stars as it is curved with turmoil and boosted by heartfelt moments, making it an absolute must watch in the Sci-Fi genre.
John and Maureen Robinson, played by Toby Stephens and Molly Parker, lead their life as parents who constantly grapple with difficult decisions to protect their children. Even so, the kids each have their own set of skills that contribute to their survival through the different terrains and planets. Judy (Taylor Russel), Penny (Mina Sundwall) and Will (Maxwell Jenkins) grow and evolve as they encounter alien landscapes and life threatening situations, not only adding depth but understanding to the series.
The extraordinary show earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The cast is well rounded and plays their roles in such a way that, as the audience, you forget every now and then that it’s just acting. They deliver amazing performances that perfectly show off the elements of the story and how they fit together. While the plot may occasionally get predictable, with Robots and Wills relationship always working working out no matter the danger or journey, the character development and visuals that come alongside the path makes up for it. The show’s ability to balance high risk moments with genuine emotional connections is where it truly shines.
