Mrs. Jennifer Creter: 23 Years in the Making

After 23 years of teaching, Mrs. Jennifer Creter shared her experience of what it’s like.

Creter teaches basic social studies classes, but is currently teaching Government. She was born and raised in Boonsboro, Md in Washington County and later on moved to Frederick, where she then started teaching at Tuscarora High School.

“I’m tired because we are back into the school routine,” said Creter after being asked about how she feels about the first month of this school year. Although it is boring to start school again and pretty much do the same thing every day, it is better for students to acquire more knowledge than do nothing at home being unproductive every day instead. After all, school is very important and is necessary for  future business men and women.

Creter is well liked by students, as Xavier Ford said, “Mrs. Creter is a really kind, calm and understanding teacher.” She doesn’t get mad or lose temper easily, she knows how to properly organize a classroom and put everyone on the right track. She doesn’t take long to grade, always on time and briefly explains the topic whenever someone needs help. Students enjoy her teaching style as it makes it easier for students to learn and understand.

Creter said, “As time passes and years go by I have seen students improve and mature.” She is right! As students move on to the next grade, they are more disciplined and mature than they were before. She has also gained more experience and knows how to handle all types of students. She is happy to continue this exciting journey and we are all looking forward to the remainder of the school year.
