At Tuscarora High School we offer many clubs. Clubs will be on Wednesday during all the FLEX times. As a school, it is great to know everything you can be a part of; after all, we are our own community. 

One of many clubs we have here is ‘Educators Rising.’ I got to interview the person who runs this club, Mrs. Jenny Shively. When asked what do you do in this club Shively said, “This club is made up of students who are thinking about being or working with children in their future. So the hope is that we do something for the community for our school and also bring in some speakers for the students to learn more about the teaching profession.”

Now before you go wanting to join this club, you should know there is a qualification, “You have to have finished the first year of Child Development,” said Shively. 

Other schools in the Frederick area also have the Educators Rising club but when asked is this the first year of this club at Tuscarora Shively responded with “It is our very first club, very first year.” Since this is the first year of this club a lot can change next year the club could look totally different.
