Nicki Minaj’s Shocking VMA performances

American- Trinidadian rapper, Nicki Minaj, shocked the crowd with a surprising, exclusive performance from her new album “Pink Friday 2,”at the 2023 VMA’s.

After taking a quick break from albums for a year, to work on her singles for the movie “Barbie” Minaj  jumps out on the scene with a new Album release called “Pink Friday 2.” Which is a sequel  of her 2010 and 2012 albums “Pink Friday” and “Pink Friday-Roman Reloaded.” Her most recent album contains 13 tracks and will be her first studio album after five years. 

During this year’s VMA’s, which took place on Sep. 12, Nicki was set out to perform her song “Last Time I Saw You” which was an exclusive look into “Pink Friday 2.” After performing the song, later that evening, Nicki stepped out on stage once again. The crowd screamed as they realized that the song that was being played was yet another exclusive, “Red Ruby Da Sleaze.”

Although it was an award show, many celebrities were singing and dancing along to the song. This was one of Nicki’s most hyped crowds.  

Later that night, after many performances, it was time for people to get what they came for. Their awards! Nicki was one of the first few artists to accept her second award for “Super Freaky Girl.” Some other awards she won were HipHop video, Visual Effects, RnB Video, Artist and Song Of The SUmmer. In her speech she jokingly stated for the crowd to “shut up” and then proceeded to debut her new album.

Nicki has come so far in the music industry and will continue to go further in this career. Who knows, maybe she’s currently working on another song at the moment..
