This past Wednesday, January 3rd, the Tuscarora Men’s Basketball team played Liberty High School at home. They won 65-51 against the Lions, with a great turn out! The game was USA themed and many people showed up with great spirit. The Titans started out slowly with the score 7-0 Liberty. It took a minute or two for the Titans to bounce back and take the lead of 12-9. At the end of the first, Liberty was leading the Titans 18-15. In the second quarter, Liberty kept coming out on top, but this made the Titans push even harder. During half-time, the players gathered in the locker room, to listen to motivational words from Head Coach, Darryl Whiten. The Titans were able to come out strong and use the words as a boost, Going into the second half, the Titans fought hard and kept the lead, and was able to win the game by 14 points. Join the Titans at their home game against Thomas Johnson this evening, wish them luck, and don’t forget to wear black!!
