Last night, Las Vegas was devastated with a mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino around 10 p.m. (1 a.m. EDT). Out of a 3-day event with roughly 22,000 people, more than 50 were pronounced dead, and over 400 wounded. Both of these numbers are, unfortunately, expected to climb throughout the day. Authorities are calling this the deadliest mass shooting in American history. The gunman, identified as Stephen Craig Paddock (64), was found dead prior to the officers’ entry. After further investigation, the Las Vegas Police discovered the Mesquite Native to have no prior criminal history. This is a developing story, more details coming soon.
