I was born in Frederick and my family also hails from this state, my parents both having been raised in Rockville. I was raised Catholic but have since decided that I’m agnostic. This means I claim neither belief nor disbelief in God. I like to keep an open mind. My family is a pretty average middle class family consisting of my Mom and Dad, and my brother and sister.

My fondest memories of my childhood are when I played in the woods with my brother Matt. We would have great adventures and build forts. I also remember spending my birthdays at our family cabin up in Pennsylvania. To this day, I have a love for the outdoors I love camping and hiking but my favorite hobby of all is definitely fishing.

As a senior, my next goal in life is to attend a four year university to pursue a degree that will lead to a well-paying career that I’m (hopefully) interested in. I have a lot of interests but haven’t really been able to nail down exactly what I’d like to spend the rest of my life doing. It’s kind of a big decision and I figure I still have some time. I also want to travel so that I can experience different cultures get to know the experiences of people who live in those different cultures.

A great concern I have for my country is the amount of people who live with financial instability. A lot of people, it seems, have difficulty figuring out how to manage their finances. People also seem to have a hard time recognizing that they can’t afford certain things and that’s why so many people have such bad credit debt. On the other hand, the thing I love most about my country is our freedom to choose, for ourselves, the sort of life we want to have. Though, I suppose it’s that same freedom that leads people to make dumb financial decisions.
