Mandela Effect

Have you ever remembered something differently than your other friends, like how the Kit-Kat bar has a dashed line in between the word Kit and Kat? Don’t blame yourself, blame the Mandela Effect. The Mandela Effect is an instance of collective misrememberings. The term was created by Fiona Broome when she and many other people were convinced that Nelson Mandela died in the 1980’s, when he actually died in 2013. Here are a few common Mandela Effects..

In the well know movie saga STAR WARS, Darth Vader said to Luke Skywalker “Luke I am your father”. He never actually said that, his line was ” No I am your father”. Many individuals fall victim to this one since this Mandela Effect became a popular quote from the film even though it was never said.

During your lifetime you have probably played Monopoly once or twice. Thinking back to Mr.Monopoly, you remember him with a little monocle on his eye right? Well that monocle never existed. For the past 82 years, he only has his hat and cane never any eye accessories .

Disney movies are a huge part of many peoples childhood. For young girls especially , the Disney Princess movies held a very important part of growing up. In the movie Snow White and the seven dwarfs, the Evil Queen often talks to the magic mirror for reassurance of her beauty. She never said “Mirror Mirror on the wall”. She actually said ” Magic Mirror on the wall”.

The Mandela Effect has and will affect you sometime in your life. It could happen to you anywhere at anytime. Be careful watching movies or playing games or you may fall under the Mandela Effect.
