10 Things to do During Spring Break

- Go to the National Zoo
Spend a day outside exploring the zoo in DC. Admission is free and you can take the metro down there.
- Go fishing
Head over to any local streams and rivers, like the Monocacy or the Potomac. For more information on equipment, locations, and regulations revolved around fishing, check out our “Gone Fishing!” article.
- Have a picnic!
Grab some friends, a blanket, and some sandwiches and set up a good old fashioned picnic at a local park.
- Go on a hike
Check out different trails at Sugarloaf Mountain and Harper’s Ferry.
- Paint balling
Bring a group of friends to Paintball Sportsland in Frederick, Maryland and rent some equipment for $37.20. You can do Paintball, Airsoft, or Laser Tag.
- Watch Netflix
Spring break is a good time to relax! Sleep in and watch the show “Fuller House” on Netflix.
- Get free ice cream
On Saturday, March 19, you can get a free cone of ice cream from Brusters if you wear your pajamas.
- Have a bonfire
The weather outside is warm but not too warm- perfect time to have a bonfire. Make sure you have marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers for s’mores.
9. Walk around Downtown Frederick
Downtown has plenty of beautiful shops and places to eat. Make sure to check out the Pop Shop and Pizza Pretzel Creations while you’re there.
- Watch March Madness
Join in on the college basketball frenzy with a bracket. Watch the different games through the course of Spring Break.
