Big Papis is a taco restaurant in the Industry Lane business park near Frederick, and it has been open for about two years. It was first running during the COVID pandemic as takeout only, but so far, their online ordering system has been working well since its still currently under takeout only since the restaurant needes an updated bathroom for dine in.

Big Papi’s was one of the hottest food trends during quarantine in the DMV, mostly because of their quesabirria, a crispy meaty taco made when chili-spiced corn tortillas cooked on a grill and topped with carne asada, melted cheese, diced onion and a bit of cilantro just like a normal taco birria but with added cheese.

But what else makes this restaurant great besides its savory menu is the close similaritiy between the photos on the menu and what you actually receive.  And have I mentioned how great the food actually is?  In my opinion, I believe its why it thrived during the pandemic since there were many other small businesses that struggled receiving customers Big Papis was able to pull off and stay open. 

Their staff is also nice, so if you haven’t been, I definitely recommend going to this great, locally owned establishment.
