National Math Honor Society takes field trip to NYC
March 8, 2019
Last Friday, 03-01-19, Mr. Babb and his National Math Honors Society went on a sponsored field trip to the Museum of Mathematics. The National Museum of Mathematics, or MoMath as it is commonly known, is located in New York City. The MoMath is an award winning museum that highlights the role of mathematics in illuminating the patterns and structures all around us. The museum has over forty different interactive displays throughout its halls. These are hands-on displays that allow the museum patrons to physically interact with everything from a square wheeled tricycle to a wall of light panting with polygons. While there was a cost to the students involved a significant portion of the trip was paid for with grant money from the PTSA.
