Empty Bowls

Kaylan Wallen, Writer and Photographer

Every year Tuscarora hosts The Empty Bowls Banquet. This is an opportunity for kids from our feeder elementary schools and their families, as well as high schoolers to come out and show support for the community. This is done in the hopes that we can fight against hunger in the Frederick area. This year it will be held on April 11th in the auditorium, and for the price of admissions you’re alowed to choose a bowl made by Tuscarora ceramic students. The bowls represent the need to fight childhood hunger and all the proceeds go towards the local food bank in the Adamstown area. Many of the THS ceramics students, along with Mr. Neuland and Ms. Reed, contribute ceramic pieces for the event, but a lot of the work also comes from students in the elementary and middles schools in the THS community.
