On Sept. 29, the Cincinnati Bengals triumphed against the Carolina Panthers 34-24 at the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, NC, marking their first win of the 2024 season.
Fifth year quarterback Joe Burrow proclaimed to ESPN that “this was a close to a must-win as you can get this early in the NFL season.”
Keeping up with the slow 2023 start where the third game played was the first win of the season, the Bengals secured the victory against the Panthers during the fourth game.
Undoubtedly favored to win the Sunday match, the Bengals retained a 9-8 record throughout the 2023 season, while the Panthers unfortunately held a 2-15 record.
Although they secured the win, the Bengals obtained possession of the ball for just under 29 minutes, whereas the Panthers held the ball for about 31 minutes of the hour-long contest.
With challenging games ahead such as those against the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles as well as their rivals the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals certainly have their work cut out for the during the 2024-25 NFL season.
