A fire broke out at River Bar and Grill and Tequila Bar and Grill restaurant on Aug 27, at around 9:30 a.m in Downtown Frederick.
According to an Officer, firefighters found smoke coming from two buildings, the buildings were River Bar & Grill and Tequila Bar & Grill. As firefighters searched the building, they found two people trapped on the roof of each building; two more people were also assisted out of the building.
As a result, 11 people were displaced and were being assisted by the American Red Cross, only one person was evaluated by medics at the scene and declined further treatment. As of 2:30 p.m., the Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office was on the scene. Officials said N Market Street from Patrick to 3rd Street remained closed. “Everything is shut down,” said Jay Sachdev , who owns the building at 137 N. Market St.
