On Sunday at 1:00 p.m. the Baltimore Ravens played at M&T Bank Stadium against the Los Angeles Rams. The Ravens won 37-31 in overtime, became 10-3 and the second team in the 2023-2024 season to achieve double-digit wins.
Tylan Wallace from the Ravens didn’t believe that he would make the 53 man roster. On Sunday, backup returner Wallace scored the game winning touchdown off a punt return for a 76-yard touchdown. Wallace only ended up becoming the backup returner because former punt returner Devin Duvernay has made his way onto the injured reserve list. Wallace’s touchdown was the fourth overtime punt return touchdown in NFL history.
After the game Wallace said, “On that play, we had the return set up and I was like ‘this is a perfect opportunity to put the game away.’” He continued on, “It just feels great to be able to make a difference in the game and help the team win.” Quarterback Lamar Jackson added, “That looked like a movie. That was just a spectacular return. That was crazy.”
The Ravens are currently sitting at the number one spot in the AFC. The Miami Dolphins (9-3) play the Tennessee Titans (4-8) Monday night and can become the number one seed in the AFC once again.
While everyone on the Ravens were celebrating and spraying water at Wallace, Coach Harbaugh went up to Wallace giving him a hug and said, “Everything you fought through, I’m proud of you.”
