“Elvis and Me” written by Pricilla Presley, ex-wife of the one and only Elvis Presley. A book written for Elvis and Priscilla’s daughter, Lisa-Marie Presley. The book explains how Priscilla and Elvis met as well as how they began their relationship and the life they made.
A young girl in Germany could have never imagined her life could change just by one simple question, “Would you like to meet Elvis Presley?” Her world flipped upside down into something she could have never imagined. In this book it talks a lot about her leaving her old life behind and how she was hidden, also bringing attention to the real person Elvis was. A lot of things brought up in this book can be triggering for people who went through abuse. Elvis, overall, was a man of music; it was always about the music up until the crazy rock star life got ahead of him and drugs took over. In the events of his drug addiction, the book talks about his death, how Pricilla found out and how her and her daughters life was affected after.
I feel this book shows the life that a lot of big celebrities tend to follow. Their fame catches up to them and sadly it’s what ends their life. This book is very eye opening and heart touching. If you are looking for a good biography, definitely recommend this book.
