This past Sunday, the Washington Nationals put up a good fight against the Los Angeles Dodgers but sadly lost 3-7 in the ninth inning.
The game undertook a rocky start, being delayed 15 minutes due to poor weather conditions.
Although their third and final game of the 2023 season against the Los Angeles Dodgers did not end in a win, the Nationals managed to reign victorious in their Saturday night game.
The game only favored one home run, coming from LA Dodger James Outman during the top of the second inning.
According to the Washington Nationals official website, the top performers of the game included Dodger Miguel Rojas, as well as Nationals own Joe La Sorsa and Jacob Young, all three of which are batting for their respective teams.
Ranking 20th in the league, the Washington Nationals currently maintain a 31-43 record in regards to home games, and a 34-36 record for away games.
Win or lose there’s no doubt that the Washington Nationals put on a good game for all of those in attendance. Local resident who was a part of the large crowd, Corrine Turner, described the game as, “[A] really exciting experience,” going on to say, “I’m not big on going to sporting events, but this game felt like a big giant family.”
Founded in 1969, the Washington Nationals have conserved a fun, family-friendly environment, and will continue to do so as their 2023 season comes to an end. Good luck Nationals!
