Donda Academy basketball team in shambles after Ye shares antisemitic, white nationalist views

Several notable basketball tournaments have removed Donda Academy from their upcoming schedules after school owner and well-known rapper/producer Kanye West expounded antisemitic views recently on social media.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE [sic],” tweeted West on Oct. 8. In the wake of social media fallout, several corporations have pulled out of high-profile deals with West, including Adidas–dropping his net worth from $2 billion to $400 million.

The team, full of green rookies, has been considered by some to be a “star-studded” team–resulting in a variety of other schools and academies turning their sights to the Donda players, including many who have already left the team. Many parents are now apprehensive of West, and it’s thought that several students have already exited the academy.

“I’m unsure how I feel,” said Vantik Loury, parent of a current Donda student, Davius Loury.

This development is just one of many, following another of Kanye’s alleged “mental breakdowns” in the wake of his divorce from Kim Kardashian. We’re sure the Kanye news won’t stop here, and we’re disappointed and abhorred by his recent actions.
