On Thursday afternoon a local Frederick restaurant named “China Garden” has opened once again! After a devastating fire incident in 2019, the owners feel lucky and blessed to be back. 

I was able to attend the reopening yesterday as a new customer, the ambiance was lovely and appealing to say the least. I chatted with a few customers and one of them said “I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, it’s nice to see such a loving place back in business…very grateful!” With carry-out only available for now and an amazing menu filled with a different variety of meals, from sushi rolls to many Chef specials. China Garden not only has an amazing menu on their hands, but also a loving community that cherishes this place. It’s moments like these as a community that makes it important to support one another. 

During my conversation with the co-manager, she told me how blessed and lucky she feels. “It was a really rough time especially after the fire and Covid happening right after. It took a while but we’re back on our feet and ready to lovingly feed our customers.” 

Due to the tragic fire they have become short-staffed, but don’t let that stop you from coming in and ordering some take out for the family!
