After many months of hard work and dedication, the Unified Tennis team brought home a state championship! Congrats to Evan Miller, Narineh Tekeyan, Grace Amond, and Francesca Martin on capturing the title! The students and staff at Tuscarora will never forget the monumental effort and dedication that each individual on the unified tennis team put in all season. Securing the win at the state final will forever be one of the most exciting moments for these young students. The idea of coming together as a team to accomplish a common goal is one of the more thrilling processes that one can experience. 

Senior athlete, Evan Miller, shared his thoughts about this past season and the excitement he found once he realized that the unified tennis team had won the state title. ” This season, I really enjoyed learning many new skills and playing singles and doubles with my fellow teammates. When we won the title, I was at first speechless but eventually realized what I had just accomplished. When such a realization came to existence, I was beyond excited.” 

Each of these student-athletes put in a tremendous amount of commitment this season, both on and off the court. When the state championship banner is hung up in the Tuscarora gymnasium, such devotion and effort will forever be ingrained into the history of Titan athletics. Winter and spring sports should take the success of the unified tennis team and follow up with state titles of their own! Let’s make this year one to remember.
