Erin Souder, a freshman, is the Virtual Student of the Week.  Senora Pyle, Spanish 2 Teacher, nominated Erin saying, “Erin has been showing up and submitting assignments on time. She has a positive attitude for learning and has been rocking distance learning.”  Erin’s key to being successful with online learning is to set a schedule and stick to it each day.  She attributes her achievement in school to paying attention, doing her work, and asking questions.  The pandemic has taught Erin to make good connections with others and not to be fearful of asking questions.

Erin is a member of the THS Book Club and Anime Club.  She is an avid reader and enjoys drawing anime, as well as, realistic pictures.  Erin’s dream is to one day travel abroad to see Japan.  She plans to enroll in college after high school to possibly study science or art.  She would recommend the book she just read, Song of Achilles, or taking a walk on the C and O Canal to cope with the pandemic.
