Stuck in quarantine, bored? Tired of watching TV, switching through social media apps with nothing new and exciting going on? Maybe, instead, you could workout! I know what you’re thinking, “ew,” right? Well, now is actually the perfect time to try to get in shape or be healthier because there’s literally nothing stopping you. Working out doesn’t have to be dreadful or something you dread doing. Now, here are some workouts you can do to keep you busy and keep you healthy!

For Monday, jog half a mile around your neighborhood while listening to your favorite song. To track how far you’re running, one app you can use is, “Nike Run Club,” or you could jog for about 5 minutes. Then, do 3 sets of 10 pushups (if you struggle with pushups, do as many regular ones as you can and then do knee push ups), 20 mountain climbers, and 15 plank jacks (if you don’t know what that is, refer to this video: https://youtu.be/PR9nHQXCZMo ) . For Tuesday, follow a workout video! One that is getting a lot of attention is Chloe Ting’s workouts on Youtube. This video is called, “Best Full Body Workout to Lose Fat?? 20 mins | 28 Day Challenge,” and you can find it here: https://youtu.be/CGmr02bfHUo

For Wednesday, it’s going to be a lighter workout because you’ll probably be a little sore from Tuesday’s workout if you’re not someone who regularly exercises. First, do 15 high knees as fast as you can and then 15 jumping jacks. Next, do 15 crunches and repeat these 5 times with a 30 second break in between sets. For Thursday, all you’re going to do is run called a Fartlek. Never heard of it? It’s actually pretty simple, and for people who don’t go running often it might be a little easier. You’re going to run for only 8 minutes total, so not bad, right? Jog for 45 seconds, sprint for 15, and repeat 8 times. If this is too hard or too easy, you can of course adjust the times! For Friday, you’ve worked hard enough so take a day off! For Saturday and Sunday, you could either take off or follow workout videos on Youtube, there are so many to choose from!

If you find working out boring, listen to your favorite playlist, listen to a podcast, or maybe watch Youtube or Netflix while working out. I promise, it’ll make the time go by a lot faster! Also, these workouts can be done every week and feel free to adjust each workout so that it’s a challenge to you, but not so hard you can’t finish. Remember, you’ll feel so much better after exercising and right now, there are no excuses for you not to! Have fun, Titans!
