Joe Close is the very first Student of the Week for this 2018-2019 school year.  He was nominated for this recognition by his Social Studies teacher Mr. Hansen. Joe attributes his success to paying attention. Mr. Hansen explained, “Joe has been highly attentive in class this first week. He has worked hard on any assignments given and both willingly and thoroughly answers questions posited by the teacher. He has made a strong first impression and is already contributing to a growing positive classroom culture.”  Joe’s favorite subject is history and is even considering a job as a history teacher one day. Currently Joe is making his own history on the baseball field as the team’s catcher. He also enjoys visiting historic battlefields and he can solve a rubix cube in about a minute. Joe is destined for a fantastic school year.
