Graduation

Graduation

Caitlin Gorman, Writer

What time is it? Graduation time! Seniors all around the school are getting ready for the next chapter of their lives. Some are planning for college, work, or even traveling across the world. Graduation is one of the most memorable moments in a young person’s life. The excitement of wearing the cap and gown walking across the stage brings one self accomplishment. Most importantly, after working hard for 4 years, students will get the opportunity to receive a high school diploma.

The students who decide to further their career with going to a university or college will have another chance to experience school, but this time earn a degree in whatever field they choose. Also, the most common colleges that students usually choose in Frederick is University of Maryland, UMBC, Townson, Salisbury, and Frederick Community College. Some students are going to not like the fact that they are leaving home but some students are probably happy to be able to live on their own and become an adult.

On the other hand, the students who will be deciding to go to work or travel across the world will also have an interesting experience. This will be an exciting time of their life, because they will learn new things about other cultures. Also, having a stable job after high school is a good way to save money when students are ready to move out on their own.

Overall, graduation is a time to celebrate the student’s success as a whole class and get acknowledged for the academic achievements. Another exciting time for seniors, is getting the chance to go to “Safe and Sane’ after graduation or go out to dinner with family and friends. Therefore, graduation will be a a time to never forget.
