Air Pods are a unique device created from Apple that allows the user to listen to music without having to deal with cords that are typically connected to earbuds. Many people around the world use Air Pods every single day and are not aware about the possible side effects from these devices. The major concern arising is the fact that they may cause biological damage and or potentially cancer.
Researchers are now finding evidence that may show that Air Pods and other Bluetooth earbuds are causing negative effects to the body including biological damage and possible cancer. Dr. Jonathan Samet from University of Southern California stated in a research paper that “The conclusion means that there could be some risk… ”
Currently that has been a petition signed by over 250 researchers from more than forty different countries sent to the United Nations and World Health Organization. This petition discuses the serious concern that these researchers have that Bluetooth devices may cause damage to the human body. A major point brought up in the petition is that non-ionizing electromagnetic field exposure that is commonly emitted from Bluetooth devices are causing negative effects on humans and needs to be researched more. “…we have serious concerns regarding the ubiquitous and increasing exposure to EMF generated by electric and wireless devices.”
To this day many people who use Air Pods are not aware of the potential consequences of using such devices. There isn’t hundred percent proof out there that can provide a clear answer. But it is something to keep in mind when using such devices as Air Pods and other Bluetooth earbuds.
