Mr. Hartman has been nominating Bri Gathers for Student of the Week for several weeks in a row saying, “Bri continues to prove herself to be an indispensable asset to the yearbook production. Next semester she will be promoted to Editor in Chief which will be the first time in school history that a Junior has held that title.”  Bri explained that she was recruited for the yearbook committee from her Digital Photography class. She has truly enjoyed the yearbook endeavor because she gets to meet new people and taking portraits is her favorite type of picture.  Additionally, Bri enjoys taking part in theater productions and is excited about the upcoming spring musical Aida.  With a beautiful smile, Bri explained that her theory for success is “to keep a smile on your face and then people aren’t afraid to approach you.”  Bri’s role model and aunt taught her to stay happy even if it isn’t what she is always feeling on the inside. For academic success, Bri enjoys teaching what she needs to know to her mother or having her mom quiz her.  Currently undecided about college or career, Bri is hoping her future will be full of travel destinations.
