THS Archery: A sport for everyone!

Archery is a club sport at THS with a growing number of unified athletes who enjoy the excitement and discipline of target archery. Archery is a great sport for students of all abilities and encompasses a wide spectrum of students who enjoy being part of a team program while also competing as individuals.
Tuscarora is the only high school in Frederick County that currently belongs to the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). The THS team has been practicing this fall for several upcoming local competitions in preparation for the Maryland State NASP Championships in March 2019. Students compete for awards and scholarship money. The top 10 male and female Maryland archers are invited to compete at the 2019 NASP National Tournament in Louisville Kentucky in May where the top prize is a $20,000 scholarship.
Archery practices are currently being held from 2:30 to 4:00PM on Wednesdays in the AUX gym. Interested staff members are invited to join us to learn archery basics and hone their archery skills. Your support and participation is welcome and would be greatly appreciated
