With the leaves falling, the temperatures dropping, and now snow on the ground, excitement is beginning to build up throughout the school as we move in to the holidays and snowy season. Many Titans enjoy the winter weather because it gets them out of school and gives them some time to rest or to work. When the snow starts to fall many fun things follow; skiing and snowboarding, celebrating the holidays, good food, and making snowmen.

When speaking with some Titans they all say they are excited to get more snow. However, they don’t want use up our snow days and eat into summer vacation. Michael O´Brian says he loves the winter and likes celebrations the holidays and resting when he gets a day off. Michael speaks for many students

at Tuscarora along with most other kids you talk to about getting a day off from school because of school. Another student, Kade Henry looks forward to the winter weather because he gets to spend more time with his family.

One of the most popular things to do in the winter is going skiing or snowboarding. Satir Markoff loves the winter because he gets to go skiing. He loves going to the terrain park and doing cool tricks. Skiers and Snowboarders at Tuscarora are in luck Mr. Neuland is running a deal though the Outdoor Club. You can get a discounted Night Club Card to Liberty, Roundtop and Whitetail starting on January 2nd. The card allows you to use the slopes between 4:30 pm and 10:00pm. Mr. Neuland explained that students do not need to be in the Outdoor Club they just need to talk to him any questions they many have if they are interested. Although it is a bummer that we can no longer enjoy the warm weather and some time by the pool there is much to look forward to as the frigid weather begins to head in. Celebrating the holidays, spending more time with family and friends, winter sports and much more. The activities will allow smiles to be seen on everyone’s faces throughout the winter months.
