Culinary Corner: Thanksgiving Leftovers!

     Millions of people woke up extra early on Thanksgiving Day to begin their cooking and hours later, they wind up with a feast! It’s wonderful always having such variety during these meals- yet, you many end up far too stuffed before you can eat it all. Which means the leftovers are plentiful… So, what do you do with them?

     Turns out, once people began to realize this problem- as they didn’t just want to throw it out- they got creative! There are dozens of recipes to try that will help lessen your bounty of leftovers that are simply taking up space in the fridge. So, here are a few that we’ll hope you’ll enjoy!

 

  • Turkey Pot Pie: By taking your leftover vegetables and shredding up some turkey, you can easily make a pot pie with a casserole dish and some pre-made pie crust.                                                                                                                   
  • Waffled Thanksgiving Brunch: Believe it or not, stuffing can work wonderfully in waffle form and it can create an interesting and unique way to utilize your leftovers.
  • Thanksgiving Casserole: A popular way to reinvent all your the food by pulling them all together in one pan- including stuffing, turkey, vegetables, mashed potatoes, cheese, and anything else you’d love to add! 
  • Leftover Empanadas: Another unique, yet tempting recipe to try when it comes to getting rid of your leftovers. While there are a million ways to make this recipe your own, this post has a few tasty suggestions on what to do, especially when it comes to the filling! Varying from potatoes with leftover rice and/or beans to a more simple shredded turkey and cheese.                                                                                                                                                            
  • Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe: Another delicious casserole to try!
