The Tuscarora Key Club is currently doing a canned food drive to help support the less fortunate in Maryland. They have collected a total of 466 cans, which is a great achievement. Some classes are making the fundraiser a competition. Ms. Marcum is making her second and third periods compete to see who brings in the most food. Whoever wins will get a “Sweet and Salty’” party with cupcakes and pretzels. A competition is a fantastic way to encourage and motivate students to contribute to a great cause. The fundraiser started on October 23 and was originally planned to finish at the end of the month but it was extended to November 15th because they wanted to have more participation. The key club is going to donate all the cans to the Maryland food bank so they can distribute it to families in need. This is great because it shows how the school can come together and make a difference in the world!
