Sushi Densha is a relatively new Japanese restaurant located on Buckeystown Pike, near CiCi’s Pizza.  Featuring a modern conveyer belt; sushi is sent around the bar area while many dine-in. Keep in mind, when using the belt the color of the plate dictates the price of the sushi. As for the service, both the hostess and waiters were welcoming. They also have an outdoor patio to accommodate more people. Regarding the ambiance, it was favorable.

It’s clear Sushi Densha makes an effort producing their Japanese cuisine. There was an appropriate wait, given the order at hand. It’s also easy to enjoy yourself since you won’t plan on breaking the bank. Once the food arrived, however, it was uninspiring. Although the taste was adequate, the loosely-packed sushi rolls fell apart upon handling. The menu did have a decent variety ranging from soups and salads to full dinner plates. But we were there for the sushi and as far as the sushi goes, it was a bit of a disappointment.

Based on our experience we are not likely to return. If you’re new to the sushi world or a seasoned veteran, you’d be better off seeking your sushi in any number of other restaurants in our area such as Matsutake Sushi & Steak and Lazy Fish. Now that we’ve gotten dinner out of the way, what’s for dessert? Our next review will feature a very scientific (not) comparison of different frozen yogurt eateries
