This week, Mr. Knepper’s Art 1 class is practicing life drawing using charcoal as the medium (the art process). Students volunteer to strike a pose in front of other students who then try to capture the pose using charcoal. With smooth jazz playing in the background, the environment is one of creative calm. Drawing from life is one of the hardest things a young artist can attempt to do, from what we’ve seen, Mr. Knepper’s students are both fully engaged and working hard to tackle this challenging activity.
