The second round of the boys basketball playoffs consisted of the Tuscarora Titans tipping off against the Linganore Lancers at home on Thursday March 2nd. Titan Pride came out in all black. The Tuscarora Titans came out firing on all cylinders taking an early 12 point lead against the Lancers. With amazing shots from Kevin Bell, Jaylen Washington, and Obe Noel all pumping up the student section. The Tuscarora Titan student hyped up the team to keep playing at a top notch level. First quarter ended with the Titans in top 15-3, scaring off the Linganore Lancers.

The second quarter was all Titans scoring difficult buckets and grabbing steals. Kevin Bell was on fire the entire first half making some wild shots, drawing fouls, and receiving free throws. Linganore struggled to get back into the game and their continual fouls didn’t help at all either. THS lead 22-12 going into halftime.

The third quarter was the Obe Noel show, making 3-pointers and acrobatic layups. All of the Titans played with their heart like it was their last game. Before the buzzer the Linganore Lancers threw up a full court shot sinking it, too bad the Titans still lead 38-22.

The hustle carried on into the fourth quarter with the Titans continuing to battle even though they had a huge lead. Linganore tried to pull themselves back into the game but it just wouldn’t work. Every play inching us closer onto the next playoff game.

The Titans beat the Linganore Lancers with a final score of 55-41. The next play off game will be played away at Seneca Valley against them on Saturday at 2pm, the student section theme is a green out.
