The Tuscarora Titans boy’s Basketball team faced off against our bitter rivals the FHS Cadets last Friday.  Early on, the Titans struggled and went into the half facing a four point deficit. However, the tide turned in the second half as the Titans came out swinging and made it clear that this would not be an easy game.

Jaylen Washington, the Tuscarora senior, who spent much of the final quarter getting his teammates involved, passed up a good shot for an even better one, tossing the ball behind his back to an open Kyle Lepkowski, who was fouled with 6.5 seconds left. Lepkowski broke a tie by splitting a pair of free throws, and a rushed 25-footer by the Cadets’ Jayme Sappington missed the rim as the Titans escaped with a 59-58 win. Tuscarora (16-1 overall, 10-1 CMC) avenged its only loss of the season — a 54-46 setback at Frederick (11-6, 7-4) on Jan. 3 — by storming back from a 12-point third-quarter deficit. The titan boys had a good game, and never gave up. They played as a team working towards their victorious win and made the Titan community proud.

Way to go Titans!!!
