Captain America: Civil War Movie Review

Genna Lambert, Writer

The Captain America Civil War movie was released on May 6th, 2016, and is the third movie of the Captain America series. Captain America Civil War begins the next wave of Marvel movies, with the introduction of two new characters as well as the break up of the Avengers. This is an action packed film in which clear risks were taken during the development of the plot. If you have not yet seen the newest Marvel production, showtimes are still available at Westview Cinemas.

Spider-Man and The Black Panther are two of the new characters introduced in Marvel’s new movie. The Black Panther is played by Chadwick Boseman, and appears on a mission to find and kill the man who he believes killed his father. T’Challa is left in control of his kingdom of Wakanda, after his father is killed. Captain America and Falcon team up to protect Bucky, the man believed to had killed T’Chaka, before T’Challa finds and kills him. Tony Stark, Iron Man, recruits Peter Parker, Spider Man, to help fight in the Civil War. The Spider-Man introduced to us in the Civil War, is not to be confused with the Spider-Man played by Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man movies. Played by 20 year old Tom Holland, Spider-Man is definitely portrayed as an amaetur who does not have much experience as a superhero, but is able to keep up with the rest of the Avengers. When watching the Civil War movie stay tuned afterwards for a preview of the Black Panther movie that will be released in July 2018 and a second preview of the Spider-Man movie that will be released in July 2017.

Captain America: Civil War got many reviews and scored 8.3 out of 10 stars on IMDb. The film was brilliantly directed by the Russo brothers, who translated so much of the comics into the Civil War movie. This action packed film does a superb job at bringing the audience to the edge of their seats during the whole film and it perfectly introduces a new generation of superheroes to the world, with the breakup of the Avengers and the unleashing of new heroes.  Personally I thought that this movie was great and definitely worth seeing in theaters.
