Things To Do During Summer 2016

Ashlyn Hurley and Genna Lambert

With only a couple days left in the school year, everyone is beginning to make plans to stay in touch over the span of the next two months. But even with the help of friends, keeping yourselves occupied when you don’t have many responsibilities (such as school) getting in your way is a hard task. Sometimes, it’s hard to come up with ideas of what to do, so here is a list of fun, easy things to do over the summer to make sure you don’t waste it.

Get a new pet

Get a new piercing or two

Try a new color on your hair

Get a job, or work more hours at your current job

Go swimming

Go to a beach

Go to a boardwalk

Get ice cream

Learn some new DIY tricks

Make a nice meal for your family

Go to, or host, a BBQ

Find a new restaurant you like

Visit www.ocearch.com and download the app to keep up with your favorite sharks, and make sure none are nearby before you get into the ocean!

Get a gym membership, and if you already have one, enjoy it!

Find a place to go paddle boarding

Go on a trip with friends

Hike a mountain and eat a picnic at the top

Watch the sunrise or sunset during a hiking trip

Save up money and go jet skiing

Go outside at least once every day

But also find a new show to watch on Netflix

Volunteer at a local shelter

Keep up with new movie releases

Have a dog? Go to the dog park!

Make s’mores or anything else you can roast on a campfire

Have fun, all summer sixteen
