Do you enjoy having a good time with friends or being active? If you answered yes to either, you should consider trying the Color Run. The Color Run is an event that promotes healthiness and happiness by bringing communities together to participate in the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”. It was founded in March of 2011 and has grown to events in over 200 cities and 40 countries! What makes it so fun you may ask? Well it’s a no-timed 5k and at every mile mark you get dowsed in fun bright colors!  The only two rules are you have to wear white and finish plastered in color. It’s coming to DC on May 15^th and Baltimore on May 21^st.

There are three types of pricing options. To be a classic runner, you pay $44.99. You get an entry into the race and the classic kit. To be a classic+ runner, you pay $52.99. You get an entry into the race, the classic kit, and the kit shipped to your house instead of waiting in line to get it. To be a deluxe runner, it is 64.99. You get entry into the race, the deluxe kit, and the kit shipped to your house. In the classic kit you get a T-shirt, two stickers, a headband, and a medal. For a deluxe kit you get a T-shirt, Hawaiian lei, a hat, two stickers, a headband, sunglasses, and a medal.

Lines open at 9 am the day of the event. You are sent in waves through the race. There is music, dancing, stretching, and giveaways there! There is a course map provided on the website. So come on out and have some fun!
