Last night, Tuscaroras Varsity basketball team advanced their record to 17-4 as they took down the Oakdale Bears with a score of 64-62 in overtime. In a hard fought game, the Titans tough defense was able to shut down the Bears attacking offense. When Myles Belton, shooting guard of the Titans, was asked about the game, he said “it was a hard fought win that was very important to us because it was our last home game”. Being that it was the last game of the regular season, the Titans were very happy to finish strong. Considering that the team is mainly seniors, it was good for them to be able to end their high school regular season basketball career to the best of their abilities.

With ending the season on a good note against the Bears, the Titans hope to take the continue strong into the playoffs starting on Monday, 2/29. The opponent for Monday’s playoff game is yet to be determined, however the team is ready for anyone who tries to step in their way.
