Ms. Reddington, since the first time I talked to her, showed herself as a kind and lovely person. She shows us patience and that she is willing to help us, to motivate us and demonstrate that she is there for us.
Reddington sees herself as a creative and empathetic person. She teaches me English and she demonstrates her creativity and her empathetic personality with us. She emphasized that she loves to travel the world visiting new places, but her favorite place to visit is Alaska, specifically Skagway: “it is so incredibly beautiful, the wildlife is phenomenal, the scenery is phenomenal, there’s glaciers, and it is so untouched that I can’t wait to go back,” Reddington said. That answer was really surprising for me, because she grew up in a place close to the beach. “The beach and the boardwalk is where I went for fun when I was your age,” she said.
Reddington is very confident about what she wants for her life; she has her goals really set and she believes that if every person sets realistic expectations, everyone is able to reach what they want.
She has been doing all of the things she wanted with love and effort.
She is living her life in the best way possible, with her family, and doing what she likes to do, “You only live once, so mine as well have fun,” she said. It was really nostalgic when she said that the best moment of her life was when her daughter was born, though being a teacher gave her “more kids to worry about.”
Getting to know her more was really great because she is a really authentic and kind person, people can have a conversation with her really easily, and she is willing to put that “extra effort” with her students and in the things that she wants to reach. She is filling for Ms. Faron while she is on maternity leave, and she is doing a great job.
