Money cannot buy permanent happiness, rather temporary joy. VeryWellMind defines happiness as, “an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment. While happiness has many different definitions, it is often described as involving positive emotions and life satisfaction.” In my opinion, happiness is an emotion that is deep within your heart and mind that is continuous fulfillment. I believe that joy is a situational and versatile feeling. You can buy both goods and services that will bring you joy in that moment. These physical things will be a temporary euphoria, but after a point in time, that item will probably be of no value to you. If you buy a brand new car, you will feel like you are on top of the world at that moment. After some months, it will just be an item in your life that doesn’t bring that first excitement feeling anymore. Happiness is found within yourself, an emotional state that is always within you without needing a good or service to fill that void. On the other hand, a service you can use money to buy happiness with is therapy. Therapy is a paid service, but these professionals are trained to dig deep into the root of how you are feeling and give you tactics and even medicinal treatment to balance the chemical in your brain.
