Do you want to know an easy way to get involved with your school? A great way to get involved with extra and co- circular activities is to join a club. School sponsored clubs offer you knowledge and experience in just about any subject. Joining a club in high school can help you make new friends, boost your extracurricular activity record and help with your college applications.

When applying for college, applications may ask for different extra or co-circular activities you were involved with. Many colleges like to see that students are involved with their school outside of the classroom. Joining a club shows leadership, commitment, and involvement, which are key characteristics colleges look for in a good college application and student. However, only join clubs that interest you. Joining one or two clubs you are passionate about is a lot better than joining many clubs that you don’t care about.

Being in a club requires a lot of commitment and involvement, however they are also a great time to relax, have fun, and be with friends.  Here at Tuscarora, you may not have any classes with your friends. A great way to see them is to all join the same club. Each grade level has their own club which is a fantastic way for you to get closer with your graduating class and a great way to fundraise money for your senior prom.

This year FLEX is added to our schedule. This is a great way for more people to become involved in a club since you won’t have to miss class or meet after school. Depending on what club you join, depends what Friday in the month that club meets. You can join up to 3 clubs, but they have to meet on different Fridays of the month so that you are able to go to all club meetings.
