The Tuscarora Boys Soccer Team is approaching their first game of the season. Pre-season started August 20th. Since then, they have won three games and tied one. The first official game of the season is September 3rd at Urbana high school. 

Tony Lombardi is going on to his 3rd season being the team captain. Coach Knepper hasn’t decided on who the other captains will be. To prepare for the season, they went to Lebanon Valley College as a team to practice with the coaches. They also went on a team bonding trip to Hershey Park. 

Jake Bender, the right back on the Varsity Boys Soccer Team, when asked how he thought the season would go, said “ Very well, because we have a very strong team. I believe we can win it all this season.”

Last season they were undefeated until the semi final game. They lost 2-0 to C. Milton Wright. Eight seniors graduated last year, but they have a lot of great players moving up . Forward varsity player Paulo Arce said “ the players expect nothing less than winning the state championship”. 

Come out for the boys every Tuesday and Thursday this season and watch them win the state championship!
