The first game of the post season tipped off against Frederick High at home at 6pm. The Tuscarora Titans started off the first few minutes a little rocky, falling back and missing easy layups and free throws. They quickly bounced back scoring bucket after bucket playing strap defense against the Cadets. The first quarter ended with the Titans on top 14-6.

LET’S GO TITANS! While the Frederick Cadets continue to turn over the ball and miss shots, the Titans use it to their advantage and convert easy buckets. With only a minute left the Cadets call a frantic time out to try stopping the Titans. At the end of the first half the Titans lead 25-14 going into halftime.

The third quarter kept going Tuscarora’s way, scoring more points and grabbing more steals! Jaylen Washington racked up some points for the titans with seventeen points and five assists. There was good teamwork and our motto “One team, One titan” was clearly displayed in the third quarter. The Titans stay strong and end the quarter 38-25 with multiple free throws made by Kevin Bell.

Frederick Cadets came out looking for revenge making an early 3-pointer in the fourth quarter but didn’t have much action in the next few minutes. Tuscarora making some huge plays with monstrous blocks and creating opportunities where the Cadets accidentally fouled. Obe Noel with a spectacular dunk getting the Titan crowd pumped up! Seconds later Jaylen Washington crosses over one of the Cadets seniors sending him looking up from the ground feeling hopeless! The Titans are victorious again winning 48-36 in their first playoff game!

The next playoff game is a regional title game at home against Linganore at 6:00. Come out and support the team!
