Leicester City, an English Premier League soccer team that against all odds managed to pull off one of the most memorable Cinderella stories that ever  were to occur. Last year Leicester was at the bottom of the league, as they made finally earned there way back into the Premier League with the big clubs like Liverpool, Man City, and Manchester United. Leicester was a team full of no name players, but as the 2015-16 season started, these once called no name players fought there way to a championship that shocked the world of soccer.

Leicester chances of winning the league were 5,000 to 1. So if someone were to put just $100 dollars on the chances of them winning, by the end of the season that person would have acquired $500,000 dollars! As people jumped on the bandwagon of Leicester one thing is certain, Leicester’s true fans stood by the team even for the 10 years they weren’t in the Premier League. To capture the true underdog story of Leicester, some Brits compared the miracle to be the same as if the Cleveland Browns an NFL football team won the Super bowl. Even still most Brits say that, that comparison isn’t as close as the Leicester story. These once called no name players made sure their names were heard, players like Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, and Leonardo Ulloa were just some of the key players that led Leicester to victory.

As the city of Leicester is still partying, they have earned the right to the Champions League next year, a league that only the best of European soccer teams are allowed to play in. This Leicester team will now be battling against teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. Teams that hold some of the worlds greatest soccer players such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. However one thing is for certain the fans of Leicester will be by their teams side as they take on some of the best teams in the world. If Leicester were to lose? well their fans will still stay by them, and this just makes this Cinderella story all the more sweeter.
